Integration of Nym with Woleet’s platform to advance privacy by default in French tech

Paris, France — Wednesday, 05 April 2023: Today, Nym, the leader in network layer privacy, and Woleet, the proof system for modern companies, have announced a partnership that will benefit thousands of users of Woleet’s file certification tool suite.

This partnership of two French companies will first launch with an integration of the Nym mixnet with the Woleet platform as a transport layer to enhance the privacy of Woleet users, which include multinational corporations like Kering, Danone and Chanel.

Nym COO Alexis Roussel said: “We have been using Woleet’s e-signatory tool as a long term customer. We are very satisfied by the technology used by Woleet. This partnership is an organic extension of ensuring the privacy-preserving tools that we use get the maximum privacy protection which is by using Nym.”

A second, larger, integration will explore the use of Nym’s anonymous credentials system, zk-nyms, in Woleet’s ID server. This will allow users to sign documents without leaking unnecessary personal information.

Both Nym and Woleet have a long-standing reputation for privacy-first services, which run on blockchain technology. In particular, Woleet uses the Bitcoin blockchain to timestamp files that are certified by their platform.

Combining privacy technology with Web3 serves to provide a robust solution that allows users to retain data sovereignty while benefiting from the security and digital tamper-resistance properties of decentralisation. These are all integral to both large corporations and small startups, who have turned fully digital and need to protect their customers.

Woleet users can expect their services to fully run on the Nym mixnet within the year.
