Welcome to Level 3 of Nym Shipyard! Lasting from 6–17 November, this is the final stage of the six-week privacy MOOC — where participants will level up from Nymster to Nymja and contribute to making privacy the default for all internet traffic.

Level 3 starts today at 3pm UTC with a welcome by Nym head of community, Sudo, and Nym Chief Strategy Officer, Jaya Klara Brekke, before Chelsea Manning gives her masterclass:

Nym Shipyard Level 3 has three separate tracks, each encouraging hands-on participation in the Nym mission to transform the internet. If you are serious about privacy, you can join this level regardless of previous Shipyard participation.

The overall prize pool for Level 3 is 1 million NYM tokens, with up to 500k allocated for the best projects, and 500k reserved for follow-up grants and continued outstanding collaborations throughout 2024.

Operator track

The Operator track is for Nym node operators who want to run effective, profitable nodes. With the NymVPN launching soon, the mixnet needs to level up to ensure broad, high-quality coverage, including exit nodes.

Builder track

The Builder track is organised as an online hackathon. This track is for developers who want to learn about the privacy primitives offered by Nym and how to build on the Nym mixnet to protect all app traffic in transit. Learn about the Nym SDKs, mixfetch and standalone clients.

Visionary track

The Visionary track is for non-technical experts of the info-sphere. This track is for those who advocate for privacy: memetic agents of freedom. Form privacy squads, advocate for privacy, and join as a Nymja cadet.
