NymVPN v2025.6 is live for all apps

NymVPN’s latest Rhubarb release (v2025.6) includes important improvements to connectivity and in-app user experience based on community feedback through the Help Center and Nym community channels. The team’s top priorities are maximizing app stability and improving connection times and speeds.

New Features

Connection

• Connection times have been reduced by registering Wireguard keys entry and exit gateways in parallel to improve NymVPN connection times
• An always-on kill switch toggle has been added to settings so you can be sure unprotected traffic is blocked
• NymVPN for Linux, macOS and Windows will launch without network connectivity to improve connection time by using available networks and caching the network environment between app run times

In-app assistance

• Improved in-app notifications are enabled so you get timely update notifications
• Telegram has been added to Settings / Support & feedback
• Your account ID is now included in-app so you can more easily report issues

Improvements to existing features

• Updates to in-app color pairs and styles to better support dark/light modes
• [iOS & macOS] Animations improved while connected and connecting
• [Linux and Windows] Auto-start for NymVPN and nym-vpnd at device startup
• Mixnet mode enhancements: New changes to ensure privacy and improve performance in Anonymous Mode (e.g., with fixes to Poisson delays, backpressure, SURBs)
• [macOS] Revamped macOS daemon update screen

• [MacOS] Fix for app not in focus when launched
• [Windows 10] Fix for native firewall blocks the connection
• [Windows] Fix for app staying in disconnecting* state due to app losingconnection with daemon

Linux

• Fix for (Linux AUR) package (non-bin) UI appearing unstylized
• [nym-vpnd and nym-vpnc 1.5.3 on ubuntu 24.04.2] Fix for a condition where a zk-nym ticket book was imported twice
• Fix to Account Controller Error
• Fix for Daemon not autostarting at boot time & reports bandwidth then resets with a break in VPN connection
